BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
Junghee Hahn, newly appointed General Director of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) Residence in Zagreb, covering Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro, visited FIPA in order to have information on the business environment and possibilities for investing in B&H, including information on the FIPA services offered to potential investors.
The FIPA Director, Jelica Grujic, received CIM (Centrum für international Migration und Entwicklung) expert from NALED-a (National Alliance for Local Economic Development), Dr. Hans Estermanna, and representative of GIZ GmbH, Elma Topuz, on 24th January 2012 at the FIPA residence in Sarajevo.
The FIPA Director, Jelica Grujic, received Senator Albert Filippia, Head of Parliamentary Commission for Regional Affairs of the Senate of Italy, Massimo Di Giandomenico, Director of the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade Office in Sarajevo, and representatives of the Uniclinic and Interact companies on 19th January 2012 at the FIPA residence in Sarajevo.
The FIPA Director, Jelica Grujic, received on 12th January 2012 the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway in B&H, H.E. Vibeke Lilloe, at the FIPA residence in Sarajevo.
At the invitation of the member of the B&H Presidency, Bakir Izetbegovic, a delegation of the investment company of KIC from Kuwait was visit to B&H from 20th to 24th December.
FIPA organized the traditional event of awarding the most significant investors in BiH for 2010 in four categories on 14th December in Sarajevo.
The annual meeting of the Slovenian business club, gathering more then 50 Slovenian companies in B&H was held on 13th December 2011 in Sarajevo.
As a part of support to existing foreign investors, on 23rd November, 2011 FIPA representatives have visited the company Olip Bosna doo in Travnik, which is a part of Olip group - reputable Italian footwear producer.
As a part of aftercare program and support to foreign investors in BiH, FIPA representatives on November 21, 2011 have visited the company Global Ispat Koksna Industrija placed in Lukavac and had a meeting with the company’s Management.
Within the Aftercare programme that FIPA has been implementing from 2007, the Agency’s representatives visited during the month of November several foreign companies that are running business in B&H in order do have their opinion on the business environment in B&H, suggestions regarding the climate improvement and to try to help them to remove possible obstacles.
