As a part of support to existing foreign investors, on 23rd November, 2011 FIPA representatives have visited the company Olip Bosna doo in Travnik, which is a part of Olip group - reputable Italian footwear producer.

On this occasion they met Mr. Omer Kapa, delegated administrator of the Olip group, and had a discussion on business environment, their work and future plans in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
A factory for footwear production in Travnik realizes 80% of total Olip group’s production with daily capacity of more than 5550 shoes. The products are intended for export and the most important export markets are Germany and UK where 84% of produced footwear are distributed. Olip Bosna Travnik employs more than 1000 employees, but they also engage a huge number of employees in cooperative firms.

Besides the crisis and problems that many BH companies are facing, the factory in Travnik works with its full capacity and realises intended plans.

Italian investors are very satisfied with their business results in BiH, and they emphasise the skilled and effective labour force as the most important advantages for investing. According to Mr. Kapa, the workers in BiH are very quality ones and for this reason, it is necessary to establish an adequate and organised way of working.

Olip group is also the most important foreign investor in the Municipality of Travnik and presents a great example that, besides the challenges, foreign investments in BiH can be a very successfully realised.
