ENERGY WEEK WESTERN BALKANS 2025 – PERSPECTIVES FOR SUSTAINABLE ENERGY IN THE REGION

9/1/2025

- FIPA institutional partner of the conference

The Energy Week Western Balkans 2025 conference, which will be held on 8 and 9 October at the renowned Maestral Resort Hotel and Casino, Sveti Stefan, Montenegro, will bring together ministers, energy leaders and international investors with the aim to define the region’s path towards a sustainable energy future. The event is entering its fourth year and has become a key platform connecting the Western Balkans and Croatia with the European market.

In addition to panels and lectures, the conference also offers a special B2B zone for professional networking. Representatives will have the opportunity to establish direct contacts with potential partners, investors and decision-makers through pre-organized meetings and the use of a digital application for connection, thus profiling Energy Week as an event that creates concrete results, not just an exchange of ideas.

During panels and discussions, participants will discuss strategies for achieving 20 GW of new renewable capacity by 2040, accelerating hybrid projects, grid modernization, developing energy storage, and new contract models such as CfD and PPA agreements. Special attention will be paid to pioneering hydrogen projects and industrial decarbonisation.

The event will be attended by high-ranking government officials, heads of public energy companies (EPS, KESH, ESM, EPCG, EP BiH), system and exchange operators (SEEPEX, ALPEX, MEPX, KOSTT, CGES), as well as international investors and financial institutions such as Masdar, Statkraft, Acciona, European Energy, EBRD, IFC, World Bank, and EIB.

Energy Week Western Balkans once again confirms its importance as a place where policies, partnerships, and investments that will define the future of the region’s energy sector are shaped.

The Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA) is once again the institutional partner of the conference this year.
