Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association MUSIAD from Turkey organized on 21 October 2016 in Skopje the Balkans Business Forum gathering companies from the construction, tourism, agriculture and food processing, textile sector and metallurgy.

The Head of the
Investment Promotion Department of FIPA Nina Pobrić had a presentation on
investment potentials of BiH on that occasion.
She informed potential
Turkish investors on macroeconomic indicators in Bosnia and Herzegovina,
improving the business climate, competitive advantages that BiH offers to
foreign investors and attractive sectors for investing, such as
metal-processing and electrical sector, the sector of auto parts, energy,
tourism, and food and textile industry. It was pointed out on this occasion the
progress of BiH according Doing Business Report of the World Bank 2016 placing
BiH at the 79th position, which is a strong improvement compared to
2014 when BiH was ranked at 131st place. Turkish investors were then
familiarised with the growth of economic indicators, the reform agenda, BiH application
of BiH for membership in the EU.
Besides the
representatives of FIPA, speakers at the forum were representatives of Turkey,
Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, Romania, Albania and Kosovo.
Balkans
Business Forum was organized on the occasion of the opening ceremony of the MUSIAD
office in Skoplje for the region of the Balkans.
MUSIAD is an
association operating in 66 countries, with 169 centres worldwide. The goal of
the opening of this office is to achieve greater business cooperation between
Turkey and the Balkans countries.
B2B meetings were
also organized after the Forum, including visits to some of existing Turkish
investments in Macedonia.
