At a meeting with the Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of BiH (FIPA) Gordan Milinić and associates, the Ambassador of Kuwait to BiH, HE Dr. Nasser Riden Al Motairi said that it is necessary to be better informed about investment potentials of BiH in the countries of the Islamic world, and that very little information on Bosnia and Herzegovina are presented in this part of the world.
When it comes
to the Kuwaiti investments realized so far in BiH, the Ambassador expressed
concern about quantity of media information and news that instead of
encouraging the arrival of new Arabian investors, discourage the existing ones
by sending non-affirmative messages about their investments.
Nevertheless, the
Ambassador Al Motairi stressed the fact that BiH could attract more investments
from Kuwait if it there are more meetings with investors from this country and if
there are more presentations of BiHs’ potentials in this part of the world.
He also
expressed concern with the fact that money of Kuwaiti investors is standing
blocked in the BiH banks even for three weeks for performing certain controls.
The FIPA
representatives have informed the Ambassador on the base of investment projects
managed by FIPA, which has hundreds of projects that can be presented to
potential investors, as well as on the promotional media campaign "Invest
in Bosnia and Herzegovina" which will be financially supported by the
Embassy of Kuwait.
