The Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of BiH (FIPA) Gordan Milinić talked with the Ambassador of Italy to BiH HE Ruggero Corrias on preparations for a big Italian investment in BiH, which starts on July 19 in Sarajevo, by organizing a meeting between the representatives of the Italian company Pyrox and representatives of 60 municipalities in BiH.

The Italian company "Pyrox" plans to
invest about 150 million EUR in co-generation projects on wood biomass in BiH.
In each municipality where the project will be implemented, it will be employed
25 workers, and according to the business plan, the annual profit in each
municipality would amount to about one million EUR.
FIPA and the Italian Embassy in BiH will provide
all necessary assistance to investors and municipalities with a view with the
aim to contribute to a faster realization of investments.
The meeting also discussed the annual Business
Forum of Central-European Initiative which is to be held on 26 November in
Sarajevo and which will gather a significant number of investors from countries
members of Initiative, including Italian investors, who according to the Ambassador,
are interested in the textile, wood and metal industry of Bosnia and
Herzegovina, as well as in energy projects in the field of alternative energy.
The Ambassador Corrias has fully supported the
implementation of the FIPA activities related to the realization of direct
visits to Italian investors. The Agency planned in cooperation with the Chamber
of Commerce of Italy to visit by the end of the year some of interested
companies in Italy in order to present them investment opportunities of Bosnia
and Herzegovina.
