Within Sarajevo Business Forum 2016 and the panel on "Tourism Sector of the Region - New Leading Economic Cluster" the Head of the Promotion Department of FIPA Nina Pobrić had on 5 May 2016, a presentation on investment opportunities in the tourism sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

BiH is regionally known for its natural beauty,
winter sports, architecture, festivals, and in 2015 "Lonely Planet"
ranked BiH at 5th place of countries to visit.
According to the World Tourism Organization,
Bosnia and Herzegovina is defined as one of only three tourist destinations in
the world with the overall growth potential of the tourism market at the rate bigger
than 10% per year by 2020.
According to the World Economic Forum on
competitiveness in tourism in 2013, Bosnia and Herzegovina occupies 8th
place out of 140 countries in terms of behaviour of population toward foreign
tourists, and by the natural beauty of Bosnia and Herzegovina occupies the 20th
place.
In addition to natural beauty, favourable
geographical location, gastronomy, hospitable people, the tourism sector has
great potential for development and it has been recording positive trends in
recent years.
The tourism sector offers many opportunities
for profitable investments in different sectors of tourism. The country has
very good conditions for winter and mountain tourism, spa and healing,
religious, conference, marine and adventure tourism.
