Representatives of Chinese company NCPE visited FIPA

-They expressed a particular interest in projects of thermal power plants Kongora, Miljevina and Kakanj – Block 8, and in highways, railways and airports.

Representatives of Chinese company NCPE-North China Power Engineering Yubin Diao and Vladislav Kačanovskij and his associates visited the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of BiH (FIPA) in order to obtain information about investment potentials of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of energy and transport.

NCPE was founded in 1955 and is a leading company in China in the field of energy, with a share of 10% in the electricity market in China. In the last 60 years, they built a large number of power plants with a total power of 100,000 Mw / h. The company is also engaged in the construction of wind and solar power plants.

In the last 15 years in Nigeria, they have built 10 electric power projects, in Belarus they have been running business since 2008 and have built so far 2 thermo-power plants. In the vicinity of Minsk they are building the gas turbines and transmission lines of 330 Kw in length of 1,100 kilometres, and in Poland several thermal power plants with gas powered.

They also do business and in the field of road infrastructure, as well as gas and oil industry.

They are interested in cooperation with BiH on all bases, including the Program of "China + 16".

The FIPA Director Gordan Milinić informed the investors on the main activities of the Agency, meetings with investors, as well as on establishing permanent contacts with the target groups of the Agency, and he promised help in the realization of projects that the Chinese company chooses, as well as in organizing meetings with the projects holders.

After the presentation of the natural resources in the BiH energy sector, the reasons for investing in this sector, the electricity market, the structure of electricity production, operating costs, Chinese investors have expressed a particular interest in projects of thermo-power plants in Bosnia and Herzegovina of Kongora, Miljevina and Kakanj – Block 8.
