The Director of the Foreign Investments Promotion Agency of BiH (FIPA) Gordan Milinić and the management of FIPA accepted with pleasure the invitation of the Mayor of Istočno Sarajevo Nenad Samardžija and organized a visit during which they discussed currently available investments projects and future development plans of the city.

The meeting was attended by representatives of
the Agency "Regional Development" Bijeljina, which are also cooperating
with the city’s administration of Istočno Sarajevo in the implementation of
urban projects, with a focus on projects in agriculture, energy, tourism and
environmental protection.
FIPA has informed the city’s authorities with its
activities carried out on finding investors and establishing contacts with all
relevant stakeholders of corporate events in BiH and abroad, as well as with relevant
institutions that support the work of FIPA. In addition to projects from Istočno
Sarajevo already in possession, FIPA will in cooperation with development
agencies of the city and municipalities enrich its database with the newly
established projects that will offer to foreign investors.
The meeting was attended by the Mayor of the
Municipality of Sokolac Milovan Bjelica who pointed out that Sokolac has available
investment opportunities, especially in the wood processing industry and energy
sector. Currently they needed most for investors for the project of the energy production
from renewable sources and for the system for waste water treatment.
