Alex Boyd, a consultant of Business Strategy and Economic Development in the United States, talked with the FIPA Director Gordan Milinić and associates about projects that he realized in recent years in BiH.
Mr Boyd is currently conducting research on
diaspora investments in BiH, the cooperation that exists between the
institutions of BiH and diaspora, as well as on how we cooperate with diaspora and the way in which diaspora
is encouraged to invest in BiH.
Presenting the current economic situation in
the country, the Director Milinić said that all contacts are welcomed,
especially contacts with diaspora with whom FIPA has been cooperating many
years.
The Director pointed out on the importance of the
BiH diaspora, considering their significant number abroad, their knowledge and
skills, business contacts that they established abroad through their activities
and work, contacts with the institutions of the countries in which they are
working, as well as the capital and business results for which a large number
of them became recognized in the foreign business community. It was emphasized
that potentials of the BiH diaspora are not sufficiently used, and that one of
the main tasks of FIPA in 2016 is establishing wider cooperation with diaspora.
Activities on this issue have already been started.
Mr Boyd was handed a promotional material of
FIPA, which contains, in addition to the main information on investment
opportunities, currently available investment projects. He is also called to
direct potential contacts interested in doing business in BiH to the Agency.
