THE FIPA DIRECTOR MEETING WITH THE MAYOR OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF OLD CITY OF SARAJEVO

The Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA), Jelica Grujic, together with her associates, met today on 23rd May 2011 the Mayor of the Municipality of Old City of Sarajevo, Ibrahim Hadzibajric, in order to be informed in detail on opportunities of this Municipality which might be interesting for potential foreign investors. At the meeting, it was pointed out the need for better cooperation between the two institutions for timely exchanging information in order to promote better investment opportunities.

Foreign investors have expressed their special interest more time for investing in the hotel capacities in the area of the Municipality, but very often, there faced with legal and property obstacles which blocked realization of very big projects.

For successful implementation of the projects, it is necessary to have communication and to exchange information, while FIPA will provide, within its competence, all professional and technical assistance in presenting projects to foreign investors and in their future realization.
