Aftercare visit to the Maguba Company Ltd Turbe - Travnik, an example of successful Swedish investment in BiH

Within Aftercare activities, the representative of the FIPA Agency Nina Pobrić together with representatives of the Ministry of Economy of Srednja Bosna Canton and the Municipality of Travnik on 9 April 2015 visited the company Maguba Ltd Turbe in Travnik.

CEO of the company Mrs. Senada Selimović informed the members of the Network for Cooperation  on their experience when it comes to the business environment in BiH, on obstacles and problems faced in business and plans for further expansion.

The company Maguba has been producing for four years famous Swedish clogs of modernized design in the Municipality of Turbe near Travnik.  The reasons for investing in BiH are low operating costs, skilled labour force and raw materials necessary for making clogs.

The company currently employs 44 workers and plans additional investments. Annually company produces more than 44,000 pairs of clogs, which then go to Sweden and then are sent to the US market.

According to the Director Selimović, there is an interest of a number of companies from Sweden to invest in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
