Presentation of UNCTAD’s Investment Policy Review of Bosnia and Herzegovina

The presentation of UNCTAD’s Investment Policy Review of Bosnia and Herzegovina was held on 25 March 2015 in Sarajevo in cooperation with the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of BiH (FIPA).

Obstacles in the business environment of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the need for harmonization the local measures with the EU standards were discussed among others at the presentation, and recommendations to reduce the complexity of the regulatory framework in BiH were given.

The conference's speakers were: Ms. Jelica Grujić, Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA), Mr. Dragiša Mekić, assistant of the minister of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Yuri Afanasiev, UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ms. Chantal Dupasquier, Chief, Investment Policy Reviews, UNCTAD, Mr. Massimo Meloni, Project Officer, Investment Policy Reviews, UNCTAD, and Mr. Trevor Killen, Investment Promotion Consultant, UNCTAD.

The presentation gathered a large number of competent institutions of BiH, representatives of international organisations and accredited embassies in BiH.
