Representatives of Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of B&H visited company Eko-M – Pellet production from Srebrenica

On Thursday, 26th february 2015, the representatives of the FIPA Agency and Municipality of Srebrenica had a meeting with the representatives of the company Eko-M Srebrenica. The visit was carried out within the Aftercare Program for 2015 for post-investment support to foreign investors in BIH.

On this occasion, with the general manager and owner Mr. Marius de Wilt and deputy director Ms. Marica Simić, it was discussed about the experience of doing business in Bosnia and Herzegovina, obstacles and problems faced by the company in BIH and their future plans.

Eko-M is pellet factory located in Zeleni Jadar in Srebrenica. The factory was bought by the Dutch businessman Marius de Wilt by the end of last year after its collapse and shut down.  The investment has resulted in employment of 32 citizens from Srebrenica. The current production capacity has already exceeded 350 tons of pellets.

Eko-M is planning a total investment of BAM 1.8 million BAM for further company development and modernization.

Satisfied with their business in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. de Wilt said that there are a lot of investors from Netherland interested in investing in BiH.

The new owner is an experienced entrepreneur in field of Biomass.
