The FIPA Agency visited the company Compact Invest Ltd

Within the Aftercare program representatives of FIPA and the Municipality of Ilidža, as a member of the Network for cooperation for post-investment support to foreign investors visited on 2 October 2014, the company Compact Invest Ltd Sarajevo and spoke with Mr Moussa Fattah, member of the Advisory Board and Mr Muhamed Prlja, Deputy Director.

The meeting was focused on the company’s experience when it comes to the business environment in BiH, obstacles and problems faced by the company in business from the point of direct foreign investments and on plans of the future expansion.

Mr Fattah and Mr Prlja emphasized the fact that the firm plans are not short term. They want together with the founders and owners of the company to contribute to economic development and the strengthening of the economy in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As the purpose of any serious business enterprise, projects that they will realize must provide long-term sources of income for employees and a profit for owners. The experience of the company founders will contribute to refresh the business environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The company Compact Invest Ltd Sarajevo is a BiH company founded by investors from Kuwait. So far they have launched several investment projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and invested about 8 million BAM.

One of the projects starting in early November is the project of construction of a new housing complex "Sarajevo Waves" in Otes, Ilidža. The estimated value of the project is about 50 million BAM.

In addition to this project, two more ones are in preparation, of which one is significantly larger than the housing project in Otes. This project would certainly contribute to the development of the Municipality of Ilidža and Sarajevo Canton. This project will provide new jobs and the engagement of a large number of local construction companies.

Besides investing in construction of real estate, the firm Compact Invest Ltd considers, plans and intensively prepares the implementation of projects related to agriculture, animal husbandry, catering, tourism and trade. The basic feature of these projects is that they are long-term projects that will provide new jobs and improving the business environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
