The Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency in BiH (FIPA), Marko Kubatlija, met today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H-E. Ivan Todorov. During the meeting, they discussed the possibilities for strengthening investment cooperation between the two countries, improving economic ties and attracting new investors from Serbia to BiH.

Director Kubatlija
presented the Agency's activities in promoting the investment potentials of Bosnia
and Herzegovina and emphasized his readiness to provide additional support to investors
from Serbia, especially in the manufacturing sectors.
The Serbian Ambassador
expressed interest in improving economic cooperation and emphasized that there
is great potential for expanding business initiatives and joint projects.
He pointed out that
Serbia has so far invested 1.438 million EUR, and that it is at the 3rd
place behind Croatia and Austria on the list of the most significant foreign
investors in Bosnia and Herzegovina with a share of 13.3% in total investments.
Investments in the field
of information and communication dominate with a share of 63.8%, followed by
investments in trade with 13.0% and the processing industry with 9.4%.
The interlocutors agreed
that stable communication, exchange of information and strengthening of
institutional cooperation are key elements to attracting investments and
developing the economy in both directions. It is agreed to intensify joint
activities in the coming period, including the organization of business forums
and meetings of businesspersons.
