
The Director of the Foreign Investment
Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA) Mr. Marko Kubatlija is
participating at the symposium titled “Development of Economic Relations
Between Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina: Sustainable New Perspectives”,
which is being held in Sarajevo and organized by the Economic Research
Foundation in cooperation with the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of
Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In his opening remarks, Director
Kubatlija emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkey share a long
tradition of friendly relations based on trust, mutual respect, and common
interests, noting that Turkish companies have recognized the potential of
Bosnia and Herzegovina as a stable and attractive investment market.
He highlighted that investment from the
Republic of Turkey amount to € 353.4 million, positioning Turkey at the 10th
place by investments in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a 3.3% share in total
foreign investments in the country.
The symposium is dedicated to
strengthening economic cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the
Republic of Turkey, focusing on enhancing investment and trade potentials
between the two countries, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s position in the process of
EU accession and its reflection on bilateral economic relations, as well as
success stories of Turkish investors operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The event gathered a large number of
representatives from relevant institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the
Republic of Turkey, chambers of commerce, business associations, entrepreneurs,
potential investors, and university professors.
