FIPA AFTERCARE VISITS

Within the implementation of the FIPA Aftercare Programme, the FIPA representatives Nina Pobric and Tanja Bojovic-Simic visited on 20th March 2012 the Bekto-Industries and the Pobjeda-Sport companies in Gorazde.

The Bekto-Industries company which has recently started operating, plans to extend its production, to introduce new production lines and to employ new workers. 

The representatives of the company pointed out long and complicated procedures as the main problem regarding registration process in B&H.

When it comes to the Pobjeda-Sport company which established the first contact with FIPA in 2003, their representatives were of the same opinion as their colleagues from Bekto-Industries speaking of the business climate.

In order to improve cooperation with local communities, on 28th March, the FIPA representatives had a meeting with the Director of M.I. Furniture Design doo Maglaj German-Austrian company operating in the field of the furniture production. The company has 28 employees and plans to increase the number of employees, but also investments in the next three years.

The Director of M.I. Furniture Design pointed out that the competent authorities should introduce incentives for providing the necessary infrastructure for newly established companies. The companies will participate in infrastructure development one starting production.

In addition, the FIPA representative Ms. Pobric and Ms. Bojovic-Simic had the same day a meeting with the Mayor of the Municipality of Maglaj and his associates. The topic of the meeting was how to intensify cooperation between the two institutions and how to find new ways for cooperation and joint activities on promotion of the local projects of the Municipality. The representatives of Maglaj informed on this occasion the FIPA guests on the Municipality’s potentials, incentives for investors and presented three projects they are looking investors for.

The FIPA representatives informed the Mayor on the main Agency’s activities and competence, planned promotional activities, ways of possible new cooperation, etc.

On 30th March, the same team visited the Municipality of Gorazde where they met with the mayor Muhamed Ramovic and his associates. The topic of the meeting was intensification of the cooperation between FIPA and the Municipality of Gorazde and possibility of joint activities in order to promote the local projects.

The FIPA team was informed on potentials of Gorazde and its environment.

The same day, the FIPA representatives had a meeting with the President of Trade Chamber of Bosna - Podrinje Canton to discuss the same issues.
