- Industrial zones are an important basis for attracting investments

The Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA) Marko Kubatlija met with the Mayor of Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zijad Nišić. On that occasion, they discussed the benefits Brčko offers to domestic and foreign investors, industrial zone development plans, past cooperation with FIPA and plans for new projects and activities.

In the coming period, Director Kubatlija will work on promoting the importance of the development of industrial and free zones and parks in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It is necessary to introduce customs concessions for free zones, which contribute to attracting investments. Free zones should serve the state to ensure the conditions for a quick, permanent and effective solution to the problem of unemployment, increase in traffic and production, increase in exports and increase in living standards, and stop the emigration of young people and professionals.

Brčko District has also established a Development and Guarantee Fund, and offers tax reliefs and reliefs for new employment, which makes them particularly competitive and attractive for attracting domestic and foreign investors.

In its previous work, FIPA has assisted the most significant investments from Brčko and is currently active in the promotion of several projects from the real estate and tourism sectors.
