FIPA at a meeting with the Ambassador of Romania

7/5/2024

-Improving economic cooperation between the two countries

Marko Kubatlija, Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, met with the Ambassador of Romania to BiH H.E. Anton Pacuretu.

They discussed the improvement of business relations between the two countries, the cooperation of chambers of commerce and agencies for foreign investments, the organization of business forums and meetings.

Director Kubatlija informed the Ambassador about current Romanian investments in BiH and foreign trade trends between the two countries, as well as the base of FIPA investment projects, including investment locations, and services provided to potential and existing foreign investors.

In the last few years, the interest of foreign companies has increased in BiH and the region, due to the efforts of companies to move production from certain countries to locations closer to their home countries.

A large number of European companies operating in Romania are considering relocating part of their production to some of the countries in the region, due to the lack of labour and increased operating costs, and this is an opportunity in which Bosnia and Herzegovina sees a great opportunity.
