As part of
the visit of the state-economic delegation of Libya to Bosnia and Herzegovina,
the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina organized the
"Partnership Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Libya," with the aim to
re-establish cooperation and to return BiH. company to this market.
During the
event, the Acting Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia
and Herzegovina Marko Kubatlija welcomed the revival of the traditionally good
economic cooperation between the two countries and pointed out that the
organization of similar events is a good opportunity to present possibilities
for investing in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as in Libya, and for the
growth of trade cooperation and business relations.
More than
30 local companies were operating in Libya, and currently only 10n are active,
so it is necessary to take advantage of the stabilization of conditions in
Libya for new business deals.
Nina
Pobrić, Head of the Promotion Department at FIPA, had a presentation on the
business environment in BiH, the tax and legal system for foreign investors,
operating costs and attractive sectors for investment.
The event
was attended by representatives of more than 60 companies from both countries.
The economic
delegation of Libya included representatives of companies from the following
sectors: steel and metal industry, construction and engineering, food, wood
industry, tourism, etc.
