Mr. Kubatlija emphasized the importance of good
cooperation with Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, since FIPA in its
daily work uses its data on the inflow of foreign direct investments, the state
and flows, the countries investors, the sectors of investments, macroeconomic
indicators, when preparing the review, information and analysis, as well as
when carrying out promotional activities.
They also discussed the problem that FIPA faces in its
daily work, that was pointed out by the FIPA Steering Board related to data on
companies that have invested in BiH, which is not published by the Central
Bank.
These data would enable additional analysis and more
adequate preparation of materials that are sent to the Council of Ministers of
Bosnia and Herzegovina for adoption with a proposal for improving the business
environment and removing certain business barriers.
Vice Governor Marić pointed out that the Central Bank
currently has only aggregated data, but that they are working on improving
their statistics and harmonizing them with EU standards, and that they will try
to solve the mentioned problem in the upcoming period.
Governor Selimović suggested the signing of a
Memorandum on Cooperation between the two institutions so that the existing
successful cooperation would also have a formal framework.
