The Acting
Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina
(FIPA) Marko Kubatlija had a meeting with the Vice President of the
Thessaloniki Chamber of Industry and Commerce Emmanouil Vlachogiannis and
member of the Board of Directors Charilaos Alexopoulos.
During the
meeting, they discussed the next steps related to the promotion of the
investment potential, the organization of the presentation of the investment
opportunities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the making connection between
businessmen from Thessaloniki and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Chamber
of Industry and Commerce of Thessaloniki has more than 20,000 member companies.
The
interlocutors agreed that the business community of Greece is not fully
familiar with the opportunities offered by Bosnia and Herzegovina.
One of the
topics of the meeting was the participation of BiH institutions and companies
at some of the fairs in Thessaloniki, and in the coming period, FIPA will
consider in cooperation with other relevant institutions in BiH the possibility
for realizing this idea, including the possibility for being a country partner
of the Thessaloniki International Fair in 2025.
