- Presented energy potentials of Bosnia and Herzegovina
Representatives of the BiH Foreign
Investment Promotion Agency of BiH (FIPA) participated at the Energy Week
Western Balkans 2023 Conference, which took place on October 18-19, 2023 in
Tivat.
The conference focused on
encouraging the use of renewable energy in the region and attracting foreign
direct investment, and gathered energy ministers of the Western Balkan countries,
representatives of state institutions and energy companies of the region, as
well as international financial institutions.
Nina Pobrić, head of FIPA's
Promotion Department, participated at the panel Managing the Challenges of the
Western Balkans Energy Transition Process, where she spoke about BiH's energy
potential, the Agency's services, investment projects, progress and plans in
the gradual abandonment of coal as an energy source and regional market
integration electricity, and regulations that promote or hinder trade in
renewable energy sources.
Also, during the conference, FIPA
representatives had a series of meetings with companies from the Great Britain,
Norway, Italy, Austria and other countries, during which they presented the
legal framework and procedures for investing in the energy sector in Bosnia and
Herzegovina and the available potential.
