FIPA representatives visited the administration of the City of Široki Brijeg as part of cooperation activities with local communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where they discussed investment potential and favorable business conditions, which are necessary for the provision of services and the production of competitive products on domestic and foreign markets.
All
of the above has already been recognized by numerous foreign investors, who
have been successfully operating in the area of the City for a number of years,
where there is a tradition of working in the processing industry (metal
industry, processing of plastics), construction and service activities
(wholesale and retail trade is the most represented).
Business
investment opportunities with special emphasis on the processing sector and
export-oriented companies, investment in the development of the so-called of
creative services in the ICT sector, and investment in production and
industrial plants.
The
city of Široki Brijeg has the possibility of investing in numerous renewable
energy sources, and is one of the most favorable locations in Europe for
investing in renewable sources from the sun.
During
the meeting, the existing industrial zones, the existing foreign investors
operating in this area, and the activities that the City carries out in order
to attract and retain investors were discussed.
