- Interest in investing in solar energy and the production of solar panels in Bosnia and Herzegovina
The
FIPA Director Milica Marković met in Istanbul with Mustafa Damar, president of
AVVA Global Energy Holdings for Asia, Middle East and Africa and his team to
present the business environment and investment opportunities of Bosnia and
Herzegovina.

Global Energy Holdings is a global energy company structured to meet the urgent
needs of electricity around the world. They create solutions with clean
technologies adapted to local needs. They deal with investing in renewable
energy sources, especially solar energy, and the production of solar panels,
liquid gas, solutions for water desalination and wastewater treatment all over
the world. The head office is in Australia, and they have offices in Dubai,
Turkey, Qatar, the Netherlands, Switzerland and North Africa.
Representatives
of the mentioned company were familiarized with the existing projects and legal
and tax legislation in BiH, and further contacts are expected regarding their
plans for expansion in BiH.
Director
Marković also met with Serkan Korkmaz Arslak, coordinator of the investor
support office at the Istanbul Development Agency, to discuss plans for
cooperation on FIPA support for Istanbul companies that intend to expand to
Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Meetings
were also held with companies at the Glassman Europe Istanbul Fair, during
which were presented projects from BiH.
