-Cooperation with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO Vienna)
The FIPA Director Milica Marković talked with
the Ambassador of Japan to BiH HE Makoto Ito about the continuation of
promotional activities and the presentation of investment potentials to
Japanese business people.
A meeting was arranged with the Director of the
Japanese External Trade Organization (JETRO) based in Vienna, to discuss the
organization of a promotional event for Japanese companies that have invested
in EU countries and to present the potentials of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the
region.
JETRO is an organization affiliated with the
Government that works to promote mutual trade and investments between Japan and
the rest of the world. It was founded in 1958 to promote Japanese exports
abroad, but its main focus in the 21st century has shifted to
promoting foreign direct investments to and from Japan and helping small and
medium-sized businesses maximize their global export potential.
The Director Marković and the Ambassador Ito
also discussed other forms of cooperation and support in attracting foreign
direct investments in BiH.
