-It was agreed a visit of Bavarian businessmen to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the spring of 2022
The FIPA
Director Milica Marković met with Christian Hartmann and Mannuel Hertel from
the International Cooperation Department of the Nuremberg Chamber of Industry
and Commerce IHK.
As one of
the largest chambers in Germany, IHK Nuremberg has more than 150,000 member
companies. According to their data, about a hundred of their member companies
work with Bosnia and Herzegovina, out of which one company has an independent
production plant in BiH, two joint venture projects with BiH companies, then 26
representative offices or offices in BiH, and the rest relates to import and
export activities.
In recent
years, Bosnia and Herzegovina has become an interesting country for German
investors, who give an important impetus to economic growth and employment in
BiH.
During the
meeting, they discussed the organization of a visit of businessmen from Bavaria
to Bosnia and Herzegovina and to other countries in the Region in cooperation
with the Association of German Economy in BiH AHK.
FIPA, as
one of the partners, will provide all the information on investment
opportunities, investment projects and the business environment of BiH for
Bavarian businessmen.
Bosnia and
Herzegovina and the Western Balkans can benefit from the post-covid nearshoring
trend.
A survey of
German companies operating abroad found that during the pandemic, 40 percent of
companies experienced problems with supply chains, and 68 percent thought of
changing their supply chains, while 47 percent were already looking for new or
additional suppliers.
Mrs.
Marković also had several meetings with German companies at the IT-Sa 2021
fair, during which she presented the work of software companies from BiH and
the potentials of the IT and Business Process Outsourcing sectors.
