The FIPA delegation led by Director Gordan Milinić participated in Ningbo, China, at the 5^th Investment and Trade Summit of China and countries of Central and Eastern Europe within the Investment and Trade Fair. At the Investment Cooperation Meeting organized to establish contacts with Chinese companies, FIPA provided information on BiH's business environment for foreign investors, and presented some of the largest and most attractive projects of the energy, infrastructure, transport, tourism and metal processing sectors.

The Agency has prepared a total of hundred projects for direct meetings with Chinese investors, both from the mentioned sectors, as well as from the IT sector, healthcare, auto industry and food production.

In addition to the delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the conference was attended by the delegations of Croatia, Macedonia, Greece, Serbia, Slovenia, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Albania.

The representatives of FIPA also participated in the Matchmaking Symposium for Foreign Economic and Trade Zones, where free and business zones of BiH were presented to Chinese investors. Chinese companies have shown interest in cooperating with the BiH authorities on the construction of industrial zones, on renewable energy sources (especially solar parks), IT and Business Process services, transport and infrastructure, health and spa tourism, considering the abolition of visa regime for all types of passports between China and BiH.

All of these events represent a great opportunity to establish a closer co-operation with China and to increase Chinese investments, especially taking into account Chinese economic development.

The FIPA delegation visited the pavilion in which companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina exhibited their products, and together with the Sarajevo Canton delegation met representatives of the city of Ningbo to discuss the successful organization of the First Investment Forum BiH-Ningbo in November 2018 in Sarajevo, as well as further plans for cooperation.
