In preparation for the diplomatic mission, the newly-appointed Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Jordan and non-resident for Iraq, Lebanon and Syria, Mato Zeko visited the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of BiH (FIPA) in order to have information about the work of the Agency in the field of attracting foreign investors and the previously realized cooperation between BiH and those countries.

In addition to providing basic information on
the competence and activities of the Agency, the FIPA Director Gordan Milinić stressed
the importance of foreign investments for the economic development of BiH,
pointing out that the investments from Jordan are very modest and amount to
300,000 BAM. Investments from the two remaining countries are also very low.
The Ambassador is expected to establish
contacts with companies, business associations and other relevant Jordanian
institutions, as well as ones from Iraq and Lebanon in order to connect
businessmen and promote the country.
In addition, it is necessary to consider the
possibility for organizing business meetings in the mentioned countries where
the investment opportunities of Bosnia and Herzegovina would be presented.
