The Foreign Investment promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA) has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the American NGO CRS with the aim to determine a partnership in the implementation of the RAST-Restoring Accountability and Supporting Transformation Project funded by USAID and implemented by CRS.

The RAST
project involves providing support to local municipalities in BiH, which are
committed to intensively work on the establishment of a favourable business
environment, with the Business Friendly Certification South East Europe Standard
of certification of local municipalities with h a favourable business
environment.
Based on the
Memorandum, FIPA and CRS will support each other in areas specific to both
institutions, with the aim to attract foreign investors and to improve economic
co-operation and development of local communities in BiH.
They will work
together on identifying investment potentials, preparing investment projects,
and their presentation to potential investors. Depending on the interest of
investors, as well as on the quality of the prepared projects, they will also
organize an investment conference with the aim to find new investors for BiH.
