BUSINESS ZONE STANARI IS EXPECTING INVESTORS

The Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of BiH (FIPA) Gordan Milinić visited the Municipality of Stanari in order to get information about the economic situation in this area, the successfully realized investment of TPP Stanari, and the new investment opportunities offered by the Municipality, where he met with the Mayor Dušan Panić.

The Director Milinić introduced the Mayor Panić with the responsibilities of FIPA as the main address for foreign investments in BiH, activities on finding foreign investments, providing assistance in realization of investment projects, participation in conferences and business meetings with the aim to promote available investment projects.

He emphasized that FIPA is looking for investors everywhere in the world, that it has 7,000 contacts of foreign investors with whom it is in permanent contact, and invites them to visit BiH in order to get information on the potential of the country.

The Agency also coordinates the competent institutions from the municipal to the state level to to attract foreign investments, and as a result, in 2017, we record an increase in the inflow of foreign investments of 66.8%, stressing that the realization of a large foreign investment in M&TPP Kamengrad near Sanski Most in the amount of 1.020.000.000 BAM is underway.

The entry of FIPA into the Steering Committee of WAIPA represents an additional advantage for BiH's promotion and its opportunities.

The Municipality of Stanari wants to attract both domestic and foreign investments with the aim to create new jobs, and on this road it expects support from FIPA in terms of promoting its investment opportunities. A business zone is prepared to be offered to investors, especially from the metal sector and energy.

It is also very important to emphasize that the Municipality allocates subsidies of 6,500 BAM for each new job with respecting certain criteria.

The Municipality offers the available workforce of various profiles. The unemployment rate is 39%, and additional efforts must be invested to create new jobs.
