On 27 September 2017, representatives of FIPA visited the Municipality of Kozarska Dubica in order to discuss with the relevant representatives led by the Mayor Radenko Reljić about support that the two institutions provide to foreign investors with the aim to attract new investors and to help expanding of existing ones.

The Municipality of Kozarska Dubica provides
free administrative services to foreign investors, and assigns an employee to
each of new investors, who monitors investor through all investment phases in
order to realize faster his investment. This form of work with foreign
investors is essential if the objective is to attract new investors, and to
encourage existing ones to expand their business.
The Municipality possesses opportunities for
investing in the food industry, wood processing and textile industry.
The most important investors in this area are
coming from Italy, employing 330 workers, the UK employing 50 workers, and
Germany.
Some of the most important companies are: Mlijekoprodukt,
the biggest dairies and the centre of the dairy industry in BiH, Dubicotton,
the largest cotton processing factory in the south-eastern part of Europe, then
the headquarters of Zepter BiH, and Nova Mehanika, the largest factory of
agricultural machines in BiH, Dempson
Bosna Doo
which
is engaged in the production of paper packaging and which represents the first
foreign direct investment in Kozarska Dubica, etc.
The meeting was also attended by investors from
Hungary with whom FIPA has established contacts and who are interested in
investing in this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
