The annual WAIPA World Investment Conference 2010 was held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from 28th to 30th June 2010. It brought together an international panel of heads of state, government officials, chief executives from the private sector, and representatives from Investment Promotion Agencies (IPA’s), as well as members of the academia and civil society.
The World Investment Conference was focused on the challenges raised by the current economic recovers, particularly the development of investments that can make growth sustainable.
It was discussed among others on the following topics: Sustainable investment and financial reform: On the path to recovery, Evolving business models: Balancing Sustainability and Profitability, the Role of innovation: Investing to feed and fuel the development of an inclusive world, etc.
The FIPA Acting Director, Blazenka Miskovic, took part in this conference.
