FIPA hosted twenty businessmen from India

Representatives of FIPA, led by the Deputy Director Blaženka Mišković received a delegation of twenty businessmen from Mumbai, India, accompanied by the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in India HE Sabit Subašić with in order to make them familiarized with investment opportunities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Indian delegation was led by the Honorary Consul of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Mumbai Suhas Mantri, and the president of India – BiH Business Forum Sudhir Navalakha.

The delegation of businessmen from India was represented by businessmen operating in the production of auto parts, packaging production, health tourism, information technology, mining, food production, the wood sector, and others.

Representatives of FIPA informed businessmen on the Agency's activities in the field of promotion of BiH and attracting foreign investments, as well as on the status and rights of foreign investors in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including possibilities for establishing cooperation in various economic sectors. They also informed them about currently available investment projects and 400 locations for investing, and emphasized Mittall Steel Zenica as one of the most successful investment in our country.

Businessmen were interested in tax policy in BiH, opportunities for cooperation on Private-Ppublic Partnerships, Free Trade Agreements and signed on agreements between BiH and India.

Ambassador Subašić stressed that a number of Indian investors are interested in the eventual opening of the Faculty of Information Technologies in BiH, which would contribute to train a large number of staff in this field, considering demands of the BiH market.

They agreed to continue communication in terms of providing information related to business opportunities. Businessmen were given promotional materials.
