WESTERN BALKANS REGIONAL COMPETITIVENESS INITIATIVE (RCI) ROUNDTABLE MEETING IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

Slavica Korica, Executive Directress of FIPA and Member of Country Economic Team of BiH to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), participated at the Western Balkans Regional Competitiveness Initiative (RCI) Roundtable Meeting in Bosnia and Herzegovina, organized on 21st October 2010 in Sarajevo.

The Regional Competitiveness Initiative (RCI) is a three-year project funded by the European Union to strengthen the competitiveness of the economies in the Western Balkans in the medium to long-term by raising productivity and output through increasing innovation among manufacturing and service-sector firms and improving the development of human capital.

The purpose of this roundtable meeting was to identify which pilot projects contained in the consultation document “Draft RCI Options for Capacity Building Support” would be most relevant for implementation.

The document contains 24 examples of potential pilot projects that could be implemented as part of the RCI.
