The Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of BiH (FIPA) Gordan Milinić took part at the 13th Vienna Economic Forum which was held on 21 November 2016 in Vienna.
In the session titled
"Investment Strategy Regional and Worldwide - Cooperation is on
demand", the Director Milinić talked about the experience of Bosnia and
Herzegovina, the FIPA promotional activities and investment strategies, the
importance of investment promotion agencies, the importance of improving the
business environment and the needs of investors. He drew attention to the
possible difficult situation which foreign investors would face if such agencies
don’t exist, then the importance of regional cooperation and promotion, the key
challenges for the future, and further plans and activities.
The session was also attended
by representatives of similar agencies from Croatia, Turkey, Macedonia, Serbia,
China and Austria, including also the Director of WAIPA Mr Bostjan Skalar.
The Director Milinić attended
the Forum as a member of the Committee of Presidents of IPAs - members of the
Vienna Economic Forum and as a member of the World Association of Investment
Promotion Agencies (WAIPA).
Vienna Economic Forum is an
independent economic and political association which brings together countries
from the Adriatic to the Black Sea linking investors with regions and economic
sectors which provide favourable financing conditions.
Current economic issues,
solutions and future plans are discussed at Forums organized by the mentioned non-governmental
association.
