Sheikh
Abdulaziz Bin Jassim Ali Al-Thani, a member of the royal family of Qatar, has
announced a significant investments in various projects in Bosnia and
Herzegovina at the meeting with the Director of the Foreign Investment
Promotion Agency of BiH (FIPA) Gordan Milinić and his associates held on 18
August 2016.
Mr Al-Thani
expressed the greatest interest in transport infrastructure projects with
special emphasis on airports in BiH and currently available projects related to
enlargement of airports, and projects in the field of tourism, the food
industry and the metal sector.
He was
informed about the FIPA activities and its cooperation with relevant
institutions in BiH, conditions for foreign investments in BiH, and available
investment projects.
Mr Milinić invited
Sheikh Al-Thani to assist in animating investors from Qatar to invest their funds
in BiH and thus to contribute to the employment of the BiH citizens, given that
BiH has projects for which investors from this country are interested.
The most
significant investment from Qatar in Bosnia and Herzegovina is related to the
project of Al-Jazeera Network Sarajevo. The realization of the project of sport
and tourist centre in Bugojno is underway which is realized by the company
Biser Rostova, while the interest in investing in the real estate sector is
increasing.
Sheikh
Al-Thani announced his new visit to BiH next month with concrete proposals for
investments accompanied by several major Qatari investors.
