Mr. Pantić thanked the Director Milinić for
organising a meeting. He explained that the Association of Municipalities and
Cities is based in Bijeljina and two offices in Banja Luka and Trebinje, that they
are, according to the Law on Local Administration of RS, a legal representative
of local communities before the Government of this entity, and that they are coordinating
the work of 64 municipalities and cities in RS. In 2015 with the support of the
Embassy of Sweden in BiH, they made a Development Strategy of municipalities and
cities of RS from 2015 to 2019 covering seven program areas, among which the
most important is the area of the local development.
The Director Milinić stressed that FIPA is determined
in its intention to contribute to increasing foreign investments in BiH, that it
resolutely started activities in search of foreign investors through all forms
of communication and meetings, that the Council of Ministers of BiH supports
the work of the Agency and that thereby, unconditional commitment of the Agency
to contribute to improving the living standards of BiH citizens, became a
priority.
The meeting also discussed the possibility of
signing a Memorandum of Understanding between FIPA and the Association.
It was agreed that the Association will provide
FIPA with all available investment projects that the Agency will then present to
the target groups.
