Representatives of the FIPA Agency had a meeting with the Mayor of the Municipality of Istočni Mostar

On 29 February 2016, representatives of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of BiH (FIPA) Amir Kazić and Marija Crnjac had a meeting with the Mayor of the Municipality of Istočni Mostar Radovan Palavestra at the FIPA premises.

Mr Palavestra presented available investment projects of Istočni Mostar. As the most important infrastructure project it was pointed out the construction of road Ruište - Zijemlja and Zijemlja - Nevesinje.

It was also mentioned the planned construction of wind farm in Zijemlja, for which the company Eol Prvi from Belgrade made necessary measurements. The planned total installed capacity of wind farm is 158,4MW (48 x 3,3MW).

Construction of the solar power plant is planned in the area of Kamena, which is measured 2500 hours of sunshine a year.

Mr Palavestra also stated advantage for building a factory of pellets, because of the huge potential of waste wood. The Municipality would give land, provided hiring new workforce.

In the area of Istočni Mostar there are also great resources for the development of tourism, agriculture and animal husbandry.
