Presentation of the FIPA Agency for representatives of Bursa Demirtaş Organized Industrial Zone (DOSAB) from Turkey

The BIGMEV Foundation organized on 3 October 2015 in Sarajevo a presentation of investment potentials of BiH for Bursa Demirtaş Organized Industrial Zone (DOSAB) representatives.

On that occasion, Nina Pobrić, Head of the Investment Promotion Department at FIPA, had a presentation on potentials of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a special focus on the textile sector.

Bursa Demirtaş Organized Industrial Zone (DOSAB) in one of the biggest organized industrial zone in Turkey today with 475 ha of land area, more than 42 thousand of employees and 4 billion USD of annual export. 68% of the companies in the Demirtas Organized Industrial Zones are from the textile sector, 5% are from automotive, 5% from the sector of plastics sector and 20% from other sectors 20%.

The most important reasons for investing in the textile, clothe, leather and footwear industry of BiH are the following ones:

• long industrial tradition,
• products quality,
• availability of skilled and price- competitive workforce,
• geographic proximity of the EU market and delivery possibility in the short term at lower price of transportation, with easier and safer transportation,
• production flexibility,
• favourable tax system,
• secure supply of energy,
• road infrastructure,
• non-existing of export quotas,
• different incentives of entities' governments (through additional fiscal incentives, subsidies, credit lines)
