MEETING OF THE FIPA DIRECTOR WITH THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE EU PROJECT „EUTPP 2“

The FIPA Director, Jelica Grujic, had a meeting on 5th March 2012 at the FIPA residence in Sarajevo representatives of the technical support project of the European Commission “Support to Trade Policy and Capacity Building in Bosnia and Herzegovina Phase II “EUTPP 2”, Ulrich Schroeder, dr. Peter Futo, i Emir Skopljak.

The FIPA Director, Jelica Grujic, had a meeting on 5th March 2012 at the FIPA residence in Sarajevo representatives of the technical support project of the European Commission “Support to Trade Policy and Capacity Building in Bosnia and Herzegovina Phase II “EUTPP 2”, Ulrich Schroeder, dr. Peter Futo, i Emir Skopljak.

On this occasion, it was discussed on the mentioned project, free zones in B&H, legal framework governing free zones and their compliance with the EU legislation, including benefits that investors can get if they use free zones for their business.

Some of the benefits that investors get by investing in a free zone in B&H are: users of the free zones don’t pay VAT and import duties, investment in free zones, transfer of profits and transfer of investments are free of charge; import in free zone is free of customs and tariffs, import of equipment which is to be used for manufacturing within the free zone is free of payment of customs and other duties.
There are four free zones operating currently in B&H: Visoko, Vogosca, Hercegovina I Holc.
