The Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA), Marko Kubatlija, had a meeting today with the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Austria Siniša Bencun to discuss the possibilities for strengthening economic ties and attracting new foreign investments to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the
meeting, Director Kubatlija emphasized that Austria has been the number one
investor country for many years, with approximately 3 billion BAM invested so
far. In 2023, Austria was at the 3rd position, and in 2024, at the 2nd
place in terms of the total amount of realized investments.
They discussed
current investment projects, priority sectors in BiH, and the potential for
expanding economic cooperation between the two countries.
The Ambassador
Bencun emphasized his readiness to support cooperation between business
entities and facilitate connecting investors with institutions in BiH. He
emphasized that there is significant interest in projects in the fields of
energy, tourism, infrastructure, and the IT sector.
Both sides
agreed to continue intensive communication and take concrete steps that will
contribute to the further development of economic relations and an increase in
the volume of investments.
