THE FIPA DIRECTOR PARTICIPATION AT THE CONFERENCE IN MOSTAR

Within the 15th Mostar’s fair of economy 2012, the FIPA Director Jelica Grujic participated at conference on the competitiveness of the economy of B&H and on the challenges of the Croatia entry the EU for Bosnia and Herzegovina which was held in on 29th march 2012.
   

Ms. Grujic had a presentation on effects of the Croatia entry the EU on foreign investments in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She spoke on the inflow of foreign direct investment registered till now in BiH, including investment from Croatia, on Croatian most important investors in our country, as well as on treaties that BiH has signed with the Croatia refering to the field of foreign investment.

The conference gathered a large number of representatives of the business community of B&H and Croatia, representatives of the B&H competent institutions (state level, entity’s level and canton level), academic community and diplomatic corps in B&H.

The conference was organized by the Regional Development Agency for Herzegovina – REDAH within the project of competitive regional economic development of Herzegovina (CREDO Herzegovina) financed by SIDA.

Also, within the Mostar Fair, the FIPA regional representative for Herzegovina Amir Kazic, participated in the conference "The Balkans from stabilization to integration", organized by the Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of the Italian companies (ICE).

On that occasion, Mr. Kazic presented comparative advantages of BiH in relation to the region countries and investment potential of the attractive sectors of agriculture, energy, infrastructure, environment and tourism, with the aim to attracte direct investments of Italian firms.

The presentation included data on Italian companies that have invested more than 128 million euros in BiH enterprises and foreign trade exchange between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Italy.
