The Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA) Marko Kubatlija met with Nasser Alshai, Director of the Kuwaiti company Mostovi doo and representatives of the Kuwaiti Business Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina. On that occasion, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed with the aim to intensify the promotion of investment opportunities in BiH and improving economic and business cooperation between BiH and Kuwait.

Director Kubatlija pointed out that it is necessary to intensify the exchange of visits between officials and businesspeople of Kuwait and Bosnia and Herzegovina, in order to better understand the possibilities for economic cooperation, which is currently far below the real possibilities, bearing in mind the fact that Kuwait is ranked at 15^th place by the amount of investments in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The organization of the Balkan Investment Summit in Kuwait at the beginning of December this year has been agreed with the aim to present investment potentials and investment projects from six Balkan countries. The visit of a state delegation headed by the relevant ministers and the director of FIPA is planned, including an economic delegation consisting of respectable companies and owners of investment projects from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The event will be organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, the Chamber of Foreign Trade of BiH and entities’ chambers of commerce.

The interlocutors believe that this event is an ideal opportunity for companies from BiH to access the Kuwaiti market, especially in the fields of construction, ICT, health tourism, real estate, education and food production.
