-Organization of business meetings of project owners from BiH and Istanbul companies is agreed
At a meeting
with the President of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, Šekib Avdagić, the Director
of FIPA Milica Marković agreed to continue cooperation on more intensive and
effective promotion of Bosnia and Herzegovina and investment projects to
members of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce.
The Istanbul
Chamber of Commerce is the largest chamber of commerce in Turkey and one of the
three largest chambers in the world, bringing together 420,000 member firms. It
was founded back in 1882, during the Ottoman Empire.
The Chamber
represents all economic sectors that are represented in the area of Istanbul
and operate under its auspices, from floriculture and construction through the
automotive industry and insurance companies to the healthcare and graphic
industries.
When it comes
to cooperation with BiH, special focus will be put on chicken production
projects and logistics centres.
During the meeting
with WAIPA Deputy Executive Director Ismail Ersahin, it was agreed to organize
a joint event dedicated to the economic recovery of the Western Balkans Region
after the pandemic, and to experiences and challenges in attracting foreign
direct investments and optimal use of the Post-Investment Support Programme.
