The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina approves MoU between FIPA and the Investment Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey and Hungarian Export Promotion Agency

Improvement of the cooperation and increase of the foreign direct investment in BiH from Turkey and Hungary

After the Presidency´s approval, FIPA Director Milica Markovic will organize signing ceremony with the representatives of the Investment Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey and the Export Promotion Agency of Hungary.

The Investment Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey is the official organization for promoting Turkey's investment opportunities to the global business community and for providing assistance to investors before, during, and after their entry into Turkey. The aim of the MoU with FIPA is improvement of cooperation in the field of investment, direct contacts between entrepreneurs and investors, creation of attractive conditions for the economic growth, organization of the high level business visits for government institutions, private and public companies and other relevant actors in the economic relations.
 
FIPA and HEPA (Hungarian Export Promotion Agency) will sign the Memorandum of Understanding on grants for Hungarian companies interested in investment in BiH.  The Hungarian government has established the Western Balkans Investment Scheme. The specific aim of the Western Balkans Investment Scheme is to foster the economic development as well as the preparation for EU accession of the Balkans region through strengthening the presence and role of Hungarian companies by a financial instrument that will provide non-refundable grant to successful applicants for initial investments or developments in the renewable energy sector. 
FIPA will analyze and evaluate each nominated project, using some of the criteria such as business indicators of Hungarian companies, importance of the project for BiH and the financial analysis of the project.
