The Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of BiH (FIPA) Gordan Milinić spoke today in Sarajevo with the representative of the Agency in Tokyo Shigehiko Nishihama on new steps to improve Japan's investments in BiH and affirmation of BiH as a destination for foreign investments.
He informed Mr Milinić on his efforts to
promote BiH to Japanese businessmen for investing, his contribution to export
of the BiH wines, and promotion of the BiH tourism.
He estimates that several Japanese companies
currently operating in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary could
relocate their plants to Bosnia and Herzegovina, noting that a Japanese
precision machinery company called TSUBAKI-NAKASHIMA operating in Central
Europe, in 2017 acquired TN BOSNIA DOO KONJIC. This example could serve other
investors to invest in BiH.
Mr Nishihama also believes that several other
BiH products could be found on the Japanese market, including honey.
