FIPA PARTICIPATED AT DOHA FORUM 2018

12/17/2018

At the invitation of H.E. Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Qatar, the Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of BiH (FIPA) Gordan Milinić participated at "18th Doha Forum "held on December 15 and 16, 2018 in Doha, Qatar.

The Doha Forum is one of the most important global platforms for dialogue, which brings together policy and business leaders to build innovative and action-oriented solutions for improving economic trends in the region and the world. This year, in its eighteenth edition, the Doha Forum focused on four main themes, including economic development, security, peace and mediation, and transition processes.

Participating at the forum, Mr Milinić informed the present businessmen and investors about the potential for investing in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the trends of foreign investment inflows in our country. This event was an ideal opportunity for representing Bosnia and Herzegovina to businessmen from Qatar, establishing contacts with leading investors, and discussing the possibilities for improving economic cooperation between the two countries.

This year’s edition brought together international decision-makers, heads of state, ministers, business executives, investors and advocates to examine policy around the critical challenges facing the world today.

The Doha Forum was established 18 years ago as the region’s only large-scale international forum designed to address global challenges and advance pragmatic solutions. Since its inception, the Forum has evolved into an ideal vantage point to explore the issues that affect the whole world.

The 2018 Forum’s overarching strategic partners are the Munich Security Conference, the International Crisis Group, and the European Council on Foreign Relations.
