The FIPA Director Gordan Milinić and the Regional Representative of FIPA in Mostar Amir Kazić participated at the Second International Investment Summit and Exhibition "Hydropower Balkans 2018" from November 6-8 in Budva.

The main objectives of the Summit were to
present hydro potentials and innovative investment projects in the Balkans
countries and to discuss the limitations faced by domestic and foreign owners
of existing hydroelectric power plants as well as potential investors in the
process of issuing the necessary permits for the construction of new hydro
power plants.
The Summit brought together representatives of
state institutions, regulators, investor operators and international companies
that produce equipment for hydroelectric power plants, from 15 countries around
the world.
Speakers from various European countries
presented the development of the hydropower sector by best practice examples
and the latest innovations. In addition, common tasks and challenges in the
further improvement of hydropower were also discussed.
At the plenary session devoted to the
development of the hydroelectric sector of the Balkans, the FIPA Director
Milinić talked about hydroelectric potentials of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as
well as investment opportunities and currently available projects.
Mr Kazić was the moderator of the sixth session
"Construction of new and reconstruction projects for existing
hydroelectric power plants in the Balkans", where he presented attractive
investment projects of hydropower plants in BiH, long-term development plan for
the existing transmission network, procedures for project implementation,
regimes for obtaining permits and approvals.
After the presentations at the mentioned
sessions, panel discussions on the presented topics were opened.
